Nagaland receives medical supplies from UNICEF, govt of Latvia & UNDP

• Six PSA oxygen plants from UNICEF
• 22 ventilators from Govt of Latvia and UNDP

Nagaland state on Friday received six PSA oxygen plants from UNICEF for Longleng, Kiphire, Zunheboto, Wokha, Mon and Peren districts. 

In an update on its official twitter handle, the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland wrote that the State remains eternally grateful for the continued support in the fight against the pandemic.

The equipment meant for installation of oxygen generation plant at District Hospital, Longleng under UNICEF arrived at the district on the same day. Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland S Pangnyu Phom his tweet on Friday has stated that it will be installed in a fast track manner. “Now, our State is in a position to avail with sufficient O2 to combat the health crisis,” he added.

Nagaland also received 22 ventilators from the Government of Latvia and UNDP. Posting another tweet on Friday, Minister Pangnyu thanked the Government of Latvia and UNDP for procuring 22 ventilators and delivering these critical lives saving equipment today. 

“This will help us to prepare more effectively in our efforts to combat covid19 and beyond the pandemic,” Pangnyu added. 

“Nagaland, convey profound thanks to Govt of Latvia & UNDP for delivering 22 critical life saving ventilators. Always in support,” the department also tweeted.
