Nagaland registers 45 new COVID cases, 48 recoveries

Nagaland on Friday registered 45 new COVID-19 cases from a total of 1962 samples, indicating a positivity rate of 2.29%. As per an update from the State Health and Family Welfare department, Dimapur reported 27 cases, Kohima-12, Mokokchung- 2 and 1 each in Kiphire, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto. With the new cases, the State’s caseload increased to 30,555.

Meanwhile, 45 COVID patients recovered on Friday, taking the total recoveries to 28,344. As per the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme’s daily bulletin, the total of active cases, as on September 10, was 650, out of which 65 are admitted in COVID hospitals and 557 are under home isolation. No new deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll in the State remained at 620.
