1,314 persons arrive from other NE states
 

KOHIMA, May 16 (MExN): A total of 891 samples sent for COVID-19 testing from Nagaland have tested negative as of 3:00 pm, May 16. 


Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that altogether 917 samples have been sent for testing from the State, and results for 26 samples are awaited. 25 samples were also tested by Truenat, all of which tested negative. A total of 3943 persons have been screened today throughout the state and a total of 1073 persons are under Facility Quarantine.


Meanwhile, as per other official sources, a total of 76 persons, who had arrived earlier, completed 3 days mandatory quarantine in Dimapur. They were released today from the quarantine centre and transported to their home districts, where they will be home quarantined for a further 14 days. 


Out of the 76 released today, 56 were from Mon and 20 persons were from Peren. They all left today in transportation arranged by the government.

 

3679 citizens opt to stay back
As of 4:30 pm, Saturday, a total of 3,679 citizens of Nagaland presently outside the State, have opted to stay back in their respective places, and filled up the required form on the portal iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in for availing the one-time assistance for Rs 10,000.


The Principal Secretary said that a total of 1,314 stranded Nagaland citizens arrived from other northeastern states. 
Further, Sinha reminded all returnees from outside the State to mandatorily register themselves in the nCOVID-19 Nagaland- Visitors App and Aarogya Setu App. For any technical support, one may contact the toll free helpline No. 1800-345-0019.


The Principal Secretary also informed that today the dedicated Nagaland COVID-19 Toll Free Helpline Number 18003450019 received a total of 193 calls out of which 46 were related to telemedicine consultation.
