“Today, all districts in Nagaland have women Police stations and this has ensured that Nagaland remains one of the safest states for women in the country,” Governor said.

‘We will ensure accountability’

Governor said that PDA Government has decided that with focus on transparency and good governance, “we will ensure accountability of Government to the people.”

Towards this objective, Acharya said the government has appointed Lokayukta for the state, which will go a long way in tackling corruption and ensuring fair play and justice.

It also won the e-India award for use of technology in governance.

Today, he said, all government departments have updated websites and are more accessible to the people through use of social media and technology.

To promote tourism in sustainable manner

He said that for a green and beautiful state like Nagaland, one of the keys sectors that can revitalize state’s economy and create jobs is tourism.
