Nagaland reports 5 new cases on June 7

Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): 5 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported on June 7, taking the total cases to 112. However, with 8 recoveries reported on June 6, there are 104 active cases in the state.

 


This was updated by S Pangnyu Phom, State Health Minister in a tweet  on Sunday. 

 


The new cases were  among the 318 samples sent for testing.  All 5 positive cases are from Dimapur,  he informed.

 


Out of 112 patients, 106 are in 18-44 age group, 5 in 0-17 years age group and a single case in 45-65 years age bracket, as per the Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard.

 

There are 80 males and 32 females among the 112 cases.

 

While Dimapur has the highest number of infections at 89, with 8 recoveries, there are now 81 active cases in the district. All cases are asymptomatic. 

 

Kohima, with 17 active cases, has the second highest infections, followed by 5 in Tuensang. Peren district has one case.
