Nagaland representatives attend 2nd World Conference on access to medical products

Dimapur, October 10 (MExN): The Nagaland state Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom along with Commissioner Secretary, Himato Zhimomi attended the 2nd World Conference on ‘Access to Medical Products achieving the SDGs’ at New Delhi, India on October 9.  

According to a press release issued by Kuolie Mere, PRO (IPR), Nagaland House, New Delhi, Union Minister for Health, Jagat Prakash Nadda graced the occasion as chief guest, two Union Ministers of State for Health, state ministers and delegates from all over the world attended the conference.  

Addressing the gathering, the Union Minister said that expert agency from all over the world and many specialist doctors have come together for promotion of health sector in the nation and international health sectors to achieve the World Health Mission for 2030.  

He added that the national health insurance in India had put Rs. 6 lakh for each family, which is the world biggest health policy, till date 50,000 families had availed the opportunity of the policy.  

“The policy is unit strength of our nation,” the Union Minister said and also announced that the 3rd conference will be held at New Delhi from November 19 to 21, 2019.
