Participants during the Nagaland Retired Doctors Association first meeting held at Hotel Japfu, Kohima on September 29.

Kohima, October 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Retired Doctors Association (NRDA) held its first meeting at Hotel Japfu, Kohima on September 29. The meeting was attended by about 40 retired doctors including 92 year old Dr LM Murry who is the senior most medical doctor in the state, Dr Sukhato Sema MLA, Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhetso MLA, Dr Nicky Kire and others.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Vikato Kinimi, General Secretary, NRDA. The house elected the following new executive members with Dr Neiphi Kire as President, Dr Vikato Kinimi, General Secretary and Dr Lima Akum Jamir, Finance Secretary.
During the discussion hour, the members participated and encouraged each other to continue rendering humanitarian service to the society “as a doctor never retires”.
The meeting decided to form a sub-committee to work out the aims and objectives and functions of the association with the following members: Dr Sashimeren- Convenor, Dr Vizolie Sorhie- Member Secretary, Dr N Ngangshi Meren- Member and Ex Officio members Dr Vikato Kinimi and Dr Neiphi Kire.
The vote of thanks was pronounced by Dr Lima Akum Jamir followed with benediction by Dr Viu Meru.
“It was a nostalgic meeting as the members reminisced and walked down memory lane of their service career,” Dr Neiphi Kire President, NRDA stated in a press release.
