Nagaland: SAYO opens Dzükou Merchandising-cum-Waste Management Booth

Initiated by the Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO), Dzükou Merchandising-cum-Waste Management Booth at Dzükou Valley Entry Point and Ticket Counter, Viswema Village was inaugurated today by Er Swelül Pucho, General Secretary, Southern Angami Public Organization. 

Addressing members after inaugurating the stall, he said Dzükou Valley is one of the biggest assets of the Southern Angami people and through God's blessing, he said ‘our people must continue to protect and maintain the valley.’

Pucho said that the youth organization were also the custodian of the valley and appreciated the youth body for taking various initiatives which were timely and much needed. At the same time, he hoped that the shop will be successful and be part of a successful tourism promotion for Dzükou Valley. 

SAYO President Metekhrielie Mejura said the Merchandising shop has been initiated with the aim to promote Dzükou Valley and take up sale of basic trekking equipments, Dzükou Souvenirs and basic necessities required for trekkers and visitors. 

The Waste Management Booth has also been opened for sanitation management of all visitors. Mejura said waste in Dzükou Valley needs to be managed at all cost and everyone should be part of the movement.

The booth will be open the whole year round. 

Earlier, Saphrül Pucho, Pastor, Viswema Baptist Church prayed for the programme and Keyocho Mekro, Action Committee Member chaired the programme.
