Nagaland Science Centre conducts annual summer hobby camp

Dimapur, May 26 (MExN): The Innovation Hub & Space Education Centre, Nagaland Science Centre (NSC), Department of Science & Technology organised its ‘Annual Summer Hobby Camp’ on May 24 at the Innovation Hub, Dimapur.

Held under the theme "Explore the possibilities- Reuse & Reduce,” the participants were tasked with developing useful products using waste plastic bottles, cardboard cartons, newspapers, waste carry bags, etc., at the camp. 

According to an NSC release, the primary objectives of the summer hobby camp were to enable children to develop critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills, tap into the creativity of young children, promote and encourage local innovation, and find effective yet casual ways to maximise re-usage and reduction of common non-biodegradable waste.

Students from Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Purana Bazaar; Great Commission HSS; St Clare HSS; Little Star HSS; Shemrock School Diphupar; CGR International School Hyderabad; New Horizon School; Hebron HSS Sovima; Lorna's HSS; Xuvihe Memorial School; Zakiesato Memorial HSS; Rincho Academy; and Greenwood HSS attended the camp.
