Nagaland Science Mission invites R&D proposals for multi-disciplinary projects

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Science Mission (NSM) has announced a special call for research and development (R&D) proposals in multi-disciplinary areas of Science and Technology. According to a DIPR report, the initiative aims to address location-specific problems in Nagaland and other potential areas of R&D, with the focus on developing practical solutions and products through scientific and technological applications in the state.

Who can apply?

Proposals are invited from Indigenous Naga scientists, technologists, engineers, and researchers working in academic institutions, registered societies, R&D institutions, and universities. Applicants must have access to adequate in-house infrastructure and facilities to conduct R&D.

About the Grant

The grant will be limited to laboratory consumables and minor scientific equipment.

The duration of the project will be two years.

A Technical Expert Committee will evaluate the proposals based on their technical merit. The final selection of proposals for financial support will be strictly determined by the committee, and its decision will be final and binding.

Interested applicants can obtain the prescribed proposal format and general guidelines either by visiting the NSM office or requesting them via email at NSM.nagaland@gmail.com.

Proposals must be submitted in both MS Word and PDF formats via email. Additionally, a hard copy with original signatures from the investigators and endorsement from the head of the proposer's institution must be sent by post or in person to-Mission Director, Nagaland Science Mission, Directorate of Science & Technology, Below Civil Secretariat, Kohima – 797004, Nagaland.
