The first Zunheboto District Chess Tournament got underway at youth hall, Zunheboto under the theme ‘Empowering younger generation through chess’ on October 23. The tournament was graced by Zhekugha Assumi, Principal, Step by Step School and Advisor, Zunheboto Table Tennis Association as the guest of honour. Zunheboto district Under-18 Badminton Tournament for girls kicked off at Zunheboto indoor stadium on October 23 with Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali,IAS as the special guest. The programme was chaired by Viveni H Yeptho, gender specialist District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) while Kihika G Sumi.
