NOA seeks recommendations and advice from all stakeholders
DIMAPUR, JULY 19 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland in collaboration with the Nagaland Olympic Association is ushering a new State Sports Policy which is now in the final stage of finalisation. This was informed in a press release from the Nagaland Olympic Association today.
In order to engage all the stake holders, all the Sports Associations that are affiliated to the Nagaland Olympic Association have been urged to submit their suggestions, views and recommendations towards the State Sports Policy. Suggestions of best practices and recommendations for improvement and development of sports and games in Nagaland have been sought by the government.
In the light of the above stated objectives and approach, the President/General Secretary of sports associations affiliated to the Nagaland Olympic Association have been invited to give in writing, their suggestions in such areas of the elements of expertise knowledge on game development which are presently lacking in the sports policy and difficulties faced by the associations in the pursuance of sports activities in the state.
The associations invited include those in the field of Archery, Athletic, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Fencing, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabbadi, Kho Kho, Muaythai, Sepaktakreaw, Softball, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Tennis, Weightlifting, Wushu, Wrestling and Volleyball. The officials have also been asked to highlight achievements in excellence if achieved so far.
All other stake holders, present and former sportspersons, sports lovers and individuals have also been invited to submit suggestions and recommendations. All submissions should be sent to T.
