Kohima, May 27 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department has informed that a review of preparedness measure before the on-set of South West Monsoon is to be conducted annually, “however, in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, pre-occupation of the field officers and the lockdown measures, it would not be feasible to organize the annual meeting.”
In this connection, all the technical department maintaining community assets have been requested to send in the status report of public utilities, the performa for the periodical inspection of public utilities as issued earlier by NSDMA.
All concerned technical departments have been requested to undertake necessary preparedness measures/restorative works in order to reduce the risk of any eventualities and disaster in a wake of monsoon 2020.
The status report of public utilities may send in to NSDMA on or before May 31, the release added.
