Nagaland State Employees holds banner outside various directorates in State capital Kohima, as the three-day pen-down strike called by the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), comprising of five major employees' associations commenced on October 14. The JCC is demanding the withdrawal of a move to include a non-Nagaland Civil Service officer for induction into the IAS cadre. The move was allegedly made via a vacancy circular on March 10, 2025. The Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), Nagaland In-Service Doctors Association (NIDA), Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA), Nagaland Finance and Accounts Service Association (NF&ASA), and Federation of Nagaland State Engineering Service Association (FONSESA) form the JCC. The pen-down strike is the third phase of protest after black badge and poster campaigns.
