Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): The Indian Dental Association, Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB) will be organising statewide free denture camp as part of Community Dental Health Program in the first week of October 2023.
IDANSB in a press release stated that as October 1 is celebrated as International Day of Older Persons the IDA Nagaland State Branch wish to take this wonderful opportunity to make a positive change by providing better smile and optimal oral health to the senior citizens by providing free dental camps and also free dentures (artificial teeth) across the state.
The main objective is to reach out to the lesser privileged section of the society who do not have easy access to dental facilities, it stated.
District representatives have been nominated to co-ordinate with the members in their respective districts and carry out the activities in co-ordination with the local authorities/institution. IDANSB members have also agreed to do free follow-up of the patients treated during the camp.
All the members have been encouraged to render their valuable service and also voluntarily sponsor one or more patient’s dentures and the same has been conveyed to all the well wishers.
“Together the IDA Nagaland state Branch strive to make positive impact by bringing better smile to our elders and boost overall wellbeing and reduction in the burden of oral diseases,” it stated.
