Nagaland Statistical Handbook 2018 was released here today by Nagaland’s Economics & Statistics, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources and Evaluation Advisor L Khumo.
It was released during the inaugural function of the new directorate building of economics & statistics here at Nagaland Secretariat site.
The Nagaland Statistical Handbook is an annual publication brought out by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Nagaland.
This publication pertains to the year 2017-18 presented concisely, the statistical data encompassing the various sectors of economy of Nagaland.
Nagaland’s economics & statistics director Y. Sacheo Ovung stated that the data presented in this publication were collected from various departments, organizations and other official documents related to the socio-economic development of the state.
The main objective of publishing the Nagaland statistical handbook annually is to have a unified and accurate official data base for the entire state as mandated by the Government of Nagaland by declaring department of economics & statistics as the nodal agency for developing an efficient and robust statistical system, and ensuring technical coordination in all matters relating to statistical activities in the state.
The director was hopeful that this publication would serve as a useful source of information to administrators, policy makers, planners, tourists and other readers having interest in the state.
Some of the other important publications and reports published by the department includes; The Nagaland Statistical Handbook (Annual), The Nagaland Economic Survey (Annual), The Nagaland State Government Employees Census (Annual), The Nagaland Gender Statistics Report (Annual), The Nagaland State Gross Domestic Product Estimates (Annual), The Nagaland Sample Survey (State Sample & Pooling) reports (Annual), The Nagaland Price Statistics Report (Quarterly & Annual), The Village Level Development Indicators Report (Annual) and The Nagaland Vital Statistics Report (Annual).
