Kohima, July 7 (MExN): The 33rd edition of Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship will be held at Pele Khezhie Indoor Stadium Kohima on July 12 and 13.This was announced by Nagaland Taekwondo Association through a press release on July 7.
The championship will be open for both boys and girls for the following divisions i.e. sub junior, cadet, junior and senior. The association informed that only one player will be allowed in each weight category from an affiliated district.
In this regard, all the participating teams have been requested to submit a copy of their players list as per their weight category and divisions on or before 10th July 2023 through Whatsapp to Visabiu Peseyie, Vice President NTA @9436061480 or Neitho-o Kuostu Secretary, NTA @ 9862567270 and submit the original copy on the day of arrival.
The participating teams are asked to report the venue on July 11 where official weigh-in will be done with a registration fee Rs. 2000/- for each district.
The association stated that they are expecting around 300+ players and 50 officials from 14 districts/team including DYRS and Nagaland Police Taekwondo team to participate in the championship.
Dimapur district has confirmed that 70 players (boys and girls) will participate in the championship. Nagaland will also be hosting the 2nd North East Taekwondo Championship which is expected to be held this year.
