Nagaland tally of COVID-19 cases at 9638

Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): Nagaland continued its streak of COVID-19 recovery cases surpassing new cases for the sixth consecutive day, as it recorded 23 new cases and 88 recoveries on Friday,

As per the health department, 13 of the new cases were reported from Dimapur, five in Kohima, Three in Phek and two from Mon. 

Out of the 81 patients who recovered from the disease, 78 were from Dimapur, two from Mon and one from Kohima. 

On the other hand, two more deaths were added to the state’s tally of fatalities, taking the toll to 46. This excludes the six ‘not COVID related’ deaths and two other deaths that are currently under investigation by the state death review committee.

With this, the total number of infections in the State now stands at 9,638 with 8,764 cases categorized as recovered and 725 active cases.

As per the severity of symptoms 681 active cases are asymptomatic, 14 active cases are mild, 14 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 13 active cases are severe on oxygen, 2 active cases are critical without oxygen and 1 active case is on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,638 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 4,094 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,694 cases of Returnees, 3,379 cases of Traced Contacts and 471 cases of Frontline Workers.
