Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): A team of seven officials representing Nagaland from Samagra Shiksha, SCERT and NBSE attended two-day workshop on ‘use of competency based learning teaching practices in large scale assessment’ at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Island. The workshop was organised by the NCERT, New Delhi on August 21 and 22.

In a press release, Kelhikha Kenye, Deputy Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland stated that the workshop was organised on understanding the exercise of State Education Assessment Survey (SEAS), Holistic Progress Card for students, and presentation of Best Practices by States and to review of assessment tools for the conduct of SEAS to be conducted in all the States and Union Territories tentatively on November 3, 2023. 

The SEAS will be conducted for Grade 3, 5, 8 & 10 to assess the status of Learning Outcomes of students. The Survey will be conducted in the District and Block Levels for the sample schools including private and government schools. The SEAS will be conducted in line with National Achievement Survey (NAS). 

The Nagaland team included Achetla Ao, Joint Director SCERT, Benjungdenla Jamir, Reader, SCERT, Dr Chumbeni Kikon, Joint Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Kelhikha Kenye, Deputy Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Paul, Assistant Programmer (MIS) Samagra Shiksha, Iluheing Nsarangbe, Joint Secretary NBSE and Dziesevolie Tsurho, Academic Officer NBSE.
