Jorhat, January 27 (MExN): The National Integration Camp for NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers from colleges and universities across India concluded at Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat. The seven-day camp was held from January 21-27, was organised by the NSS Cell, AAU, and the Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati, under the theme ‘Youth for My Bharat.’
Over 200 NSS volunteers and Program Officers from 16 states, including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal, participated in the mega event.

Nagaland was represented by 10 student volunteers from Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung, led by Dr L. Imlinichet Imchen, Program Officer and Assistant Professor at FAC.
The camp featured key activities such as cultural presentations from all participating states, technical sessions on the role of NSS volunteers in entrepreneurship development, hands-on training on disaster preparedness, discussions on fashion and national integration, the role of financial institutions in fostering national integration, and life skill education. Competitions were also held, including cultural presentations, a speech competition, and art and rangoli contests.

Dr Imchen in a report stated that the event emphasised the importance of national integration, youth empowerment, and skill development through various interactive sessions, competitions, and cultural exchanges and added that the camp concluded with a renewed commitment from the youth to contribute toward the unity and progress of the nation.
