CHÜMOUKEDIMA, DECEMBER 27 (MExN): Nagaland's Under-19 team will take on Meghalaya's team in the finals of the Cooch Behar Trophy 2023-24 for the Plate Group which begins from December 29 at Nagaland Cricket Stadium Sovima, Chümoukedima.
It may be noted that the Cooch Behar Trophy is India's national four-day cricket tournament for under-19 players, a press release issued by Nagaland Cricket Association informed.
Cooch Behar Trophy has been held annually since the 1945–46 season and it is run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Prominent Indian players like Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh who have made it big in the national and international scene with massive records to last all started here in the Cooch Behar Trophy.
Towards this, the NCA has to invite the sports loving community of Nagaland to come and witness the match and encourage our young prodigies as history unfolds in our own backyard, at home.
