Nagaland: ‘ULB has opened doors for development’

A thanksgiving programme for Ketousie Khamo, NDPP Candidate elected unopposed for Ward 15 was held at Coraggio School Campus, Kohima on July 9. 

Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo said that the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) has opened doors for development of municipal wards and town councils. While the hiatus over the ULB elections has been a deterrent to many activities, Khamo hoped that it will bring positive outcome for the society. He also spoke about the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023. 

The advisor also lauded the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for leading the state with his abled statesmanship dealing with various issues from different countries. He said that the state today is also progressing well. 

Khamo while congratulating the candidate called to advocate for people's right and overall development and appealed for support of all residents. 

Earlier, the elected councilor Ketousie Khamo addressed the gathering. Speech on behalf of family member was delivered by Vilelie Khamo. Short speeches were delivered by NDPP, Kohima Region, Prasielie Pienyu; Razouvolie Kulnu, Advisor NDPP Parent Body, AG unit; Hokiye Kire, Head GB, Tsiepfutsiepfhe Council and Khotuo Belho, Chairman TTC.  The welcome address was delivered by Vilekho Bio.
