MLA Benei M Lamthiu inaugurates Nagaland University, Lumami 24th varsity cultural and literary meet.

Lumami, May 9 (MExN): Nagaland University, Lumami celebrated its 24th varsity cultural and literary meet on the theme ‘Embracing Unity in Diversity’ at the University Campus from May 3 to 5. 

A press release received here stated that the event was graced and honored by Benei M Lamthiu, MLA, 57th Thonoknyu AC, as the inaugural chief guest. He emphasized on the theme and encouraged the students to preserve the culture that our forefathers have passed down, as that is what makes us unique and gives us the identification that we are Nagas. 

A presentation was also given by Prakash Jason Nayak, CEO of Eduversity, the Powered Partner. 

The three-day programme included the first day as the inaugural of cultural day, the second day as literary day and the third day as the valedictory programme, followed by a cultural feast. 

Other highlights included varieties of cultural and literary competitions such as folk dance, indigenous cooking, Naga wrestling, folklore drama, debate, elocution, quiz competition, and many more. 

The extravaganza night on the final day was opened with an Ethnic Show followed by performances from students, special appearances by artists like Tutu Aier and The Stereo Groove band. The night ended with a rock concert by the special guest band Version 2.
