Kohima, February 26 (MExN): The 15th Edition of Nagaland University’s three-day national level technology fest- TechAura commenced under the theme ‘Trailblazing Innovations: Pioneering Innovations’ at IG Stadium, Meriema, Kohima on February 26. 

Advisor for School Education and SCERT, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome while gracing the inaugural session as the chief guest drew attention to the need for the tribal Naga society to get exposure to technology and innovation through fests like TechAura. 

He further stressed the need for the youth to venture out of one’s cultural boundaries and adapt to changes in technology, a press release stated here. 

Principal, Government Polytechnic Kohima Er Keyiekhru Rhutso delivered the theme speech ‘Trailblazing Innovations’. He highlighted that the only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible. 

The session began as Pastor Lezo Huozha from Shalom Prayer Center, Meriema Basa pronounced the invocation, followed by a choir performance titled ‘God’s Many Blessings’ by Nagaland University Christian Fellowship (NUCF). The welcome note was addressed by the convenor of TechAura 2024

Bendangyanger Jamir. Prof Sujata Dash, Dean, SET-NU and Aneizo Keditsu, President, Meriema Village Students Union (MVSU) delivered short speeches respectively. 

Prof Dash emphasized upon the scientific curiosity of budding engineers with the important questions “What if?” and “What is next?” that fuel every new invention. 

A special dance was presented SET-NU Government Polytechnic Kohima presented song.  Highlights of the event on the first day included Model Presentation, Robotics: Mud Race, Mental Math, Voice of TechAura and E-Sports: MLBB.

The three-day tech fest comprises 16 events with activities inspiring students to explore innovative ideas, develop leadership and entrepreneurial qualities, and blook beyond cultural boundaries.
