Nagaland University Prof Ambrish Singh was honoured with “Distinction in Corrosion Science and Research” Award for the year 2024 at CORCON-2024.

Lumami, November 26 (MExN): Nagaland University’s Prof Ambrish Singh was honoured with the “Distinction in Corrosion Science and Research” Award for the year 2024 at CORCON-2024 at Chennai, Asia’s largest conference dedicated to corrosion on November 23. With the scientific community and industry experts in attendance, the event marked a significant recognition for innovation and excellence in research, stated a press release from the PRO of Nagaland University.
The Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University Prof JK Patnaik expressed happiness stating that it was a big honour for Prof Ambrish Singh as well as for the University.
The Award includes a Trophy, a Certificate, and a cash prize of Rs 25000. Prof Singh was selected for the award from among the applicants that included Central Universities, IITs and NITs. At the conference, Prof Singh received the award from Prof Amir Elizier, University of Florida, USA, who is also a globally renowned scientist in the field of corrosion. Prof Singh was also given a certificate and cash prize by Dr AK Tiwari, R&D division of Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
Prof Singh, who teaches in the Department of Chemistry at Nagaland University, is a prominent figure in the field of corrosion science. His research has advanced the understanding of corrosion mechanisms while also providing practical solutions to industry problems, thereby enhancing safety and efficiency across the sectors. His wide experience includes a stint as a professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Southwest Petroleum University in Chengdu, China.
