Nagaland University to introduce LLM course by next academic session: NLSF

DIMAPUR, JULY 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) on July 23 held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, Pardeshi Lal and Registrar Dr Abemo at NU headquarter Lumami on the issue of setting up of Post Graduate degree course (LLM).

A press release issued by NLSF president C Talimoa Chishi and general secretary Dieku Wetsah stated that during the deliberation, the VC assured the federation that a PG degree course in Law would be introduced by next academic session and simultaneously a Law department would also be set up.

Toward this, advertisement inviting qualified professor and assistant professor of Law have been issued by the NU, the VC is learnt to have informed the federation. 

While welcoming the realization of the long felt demand of the Law students, the federation has acknowledged outgoing Nagaland Governor PB Acharya for his concern to uplift the law students of Nagaland. 

It also acknowledged the Registrar of NU, the Controller of Examination, N.U, Principal and associate professor of all the Law colleges, former NLSF Presidents and their teams for the tireless deeds in fulfilling the long pending demands of the federation.
