
DIMAPUR, MARCH 26 (MExN): The Nagaland Women’s team beat Pondicherry by 38 runs in the Women’s Under 23 One Day Tournament at Bhubneshwar. This was their third victory of the tournament.
Nagaland won the toss and elected to bat first, managing to score 216 runs for the loss of just one wicket in their 50 overs. Namza was unbeaten at 121 runs with the second top scorer being Tulika with 49 runs.
Pondicherry meanwhile were bowled out for 178 runs in 49.5 overs. For Nagaland, Trishna, Sariba and Tulika took two wickets each
Earlier Nagaland defeated Sikkim and Meghalaya but lost to Bihar and Uttarkhand with three matches to go. Nagaland next face Manipur on March 28.
