Kohima, June 5 (MExN): Nagaland Wushu Association will be conducting selection trial on June 13 at IG Stadium Kohima. This has been initiated in order to select the best players for the upcoming 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship 2023 scheduled to be held from June 26 to July 1 at Pune Maharashtra.
The NWA in a press release stated that the selection trial will be conducted in the following weight categories: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 90+kg for men and 45kg, 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg for women category.
It was informed that only the best player in each category will be selected for participation.
The association stated that the gold medal winners in this National championship will get automatic qualification to National Games 2023 scheduled in last week of October and first week of November 2023 at Goa.
In this regard, all affiliated units have been requested to prepare players for selection trials. It added that players list should be submitted to Nagaland Wushu Association office in person or whatsapp to 9863238620 or 9916580774 latest by 12th June.
