Dimapur, September 25 (MExN): Officials from the Department of Youth Resources & Sports (YR&S), Government of Nagaland led by Director, Kethosituo Sekhose and Joint Resident Commissioner, Wennyei Konyak, conducted an interaction at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi on September 25.
This meeting brought together the men’s and women’s teams of Sepaktakraw India, who are currently in camp as part of the Indian Asian Games Contingent, a press release from the PRO Delhi stated.
During the event, the Nagaland officials extended their felicitations to Yogender Singh Dahiya, Deputy President, Asian Sepaktakraw Federation, Chief Coach Hemraj Dhira, AB Sharma, Men's Team Coach, Mamta, Women's Team Coach, as well as physiotherapists and Sepaktakraw players representing India.
Director Kethosituo Sekhose offered congratulations to the team for their selection to compete at the Asian Games. Additionally, a letter of felicitation from MLA and Advisor to YR&S, S Keoshu Yimkhiung, was presented on behalf of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the people of Nagaland, extending warm wishes to the Indian Sepaktakraw Team.
The Women’s Sepaktakraw Team representing India at the Asian Games includes two athletes from Nagaland, Sezovelu Dozo and Seyiekhrieno Tepa. Dozo holds the distinction of being the youngest player in the Indian Sepaktakraw contingent.
