Nagaland, on July 17, registered 40 COVID-19 positive cases while there were 14 more recoveries, update by a state health authority informed.  


“Out of 146 samples tested, 40 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed,” State’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom updated on Twitter in the evening.  


The new cases included 39 from Dimapur and a single case from Peren, he said. 


Meanwhile, the State also registered 14 COVID-19 on Friday. All the recoveries were from Peren district. 


“However, the recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance,” the Minister added. 


With the latest update, Nagaland COVID-19 status as of 3 PM, July 17 stood at: Positive – 956; Active – 551, and Recovered – 405.

 

The recovery rate as, per the update, was 42.36%.
