DIMAPUR, JULY 13 (MExN): In a first for Nagaland, NITI Academy, Dimapur, and Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Kuda B, Dimapur, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a School Integrated Programme (SIP) combining regular board curriculum with NEET-JEE coaching under one roof from the 2026–27 academic session.

The initiative aims to provide Class XI Science students with structured academic preparation for both NBSE board exams and national-level competitive exams like NEET and JEE, eliminating the need to attend separate coaching centres.

Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, Pilgrim Higher Secondary School Administrator Bithungo Kikon said, “This partnership marks a revolutionary step in Nagaland’s education system. Students will receive synchronized learning, mentoring from IIT alumni, and comprehensive preparation within school hours.”

Key features of the SIP include integration of NBSE curriculum with NEET-JEE syllabus, mentorship by IIT alumni and NITI Academy faculty, time-saving and affordable fee structure, scholarships for meritorious and underprivileged students, and a limited intake to ensure personalised attention.

The programme is designed to benefit students across Nagaland, particularly from rural and economically weaker sections, officials said.

Students completing Class X this year will be able to sign up provisionally, with full admission details and scholarship guidelines to be announced shortly.

NITI Academy, formerly NIIT Dimapur Centre, is led by software engineer Rishav Sethi, CEO of NITI Academy, who has represented Nagaland at national forums including Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Sethi, JEE Advanced 2016 Nagaland topper and developer of Hornbill and NBSE mobile apps, is associated with expanding the academy’s presence in the North-East.
