Nagaland’s Lenti Aier receives State University of New York SUNYChancellor’s Award for Student Excellence 2026 on April 27.
Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): Nagaland’s Lenti Aier has been conferred the State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence 2026, described as the highest student honours within the SUNY system.
The award was presented on April 27 at the Albany Capital Center in recognition of “outstanding academic achievement and contributions to the university community.”
The Chancellor’s Award for is regarded as the highest honour bestowed upon students within the SUNY network, which comprises 64 colleges and universities across New York State, informed a press release received here.
It recognises students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, research, campus involvement, civic engagement, diversity and inclusion, and the arts.
Aier is currently pursuing her studies at Empire State University. She is scheduled to graduate on May 20, 2026 with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis, having maintained a 4.0 GPA.
She is also a candidate for certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) and for licensure as a New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), the release added.
Before this academic milestone, Aier worked with the Devereux Foundation in New York as an Assistant Programme Manager, the release said.
The foundation provides services for individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and emotional or behavioural differences through residential treatment, schools, and community based care programmes across the United States, it added.
Back in Nagaland, Aier is also the founder and president of the Act Of Kindness Society, reflecting her continued engagement in community service.
