DIMAPUR, MARCH 21 (MExN): The PWD (R&B), Dimapur Division has reminded the public that the old dilapidated bridge over the Dhansiri below the Nagarjan Power House is not safe for any vehicular movement. The division said it was compelled to issue this press release because despite repeated restrictions by the department and barricades being constructed several times, the barricades were brought down by miscreants. With the passage of time, not only light vehicles but heavy laden commercial vehicles have started to ply over the bridge, it said. It meanwhile also reminded that the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur had also issued an order in the papers on January 27 to strictly comply with the restriction of vehicles over the bridge.
