The poor road condition in Nagarjan which was a ‘clogged basin’ is now being repaired and filled with sand and gravel. The United Colony Council Ward 20 initiated social work within the localities on April 23 and is still underway.
The Council Chairman, G. Kits and elders stated that the Council sought assistance with PWD (Roads and Bridges) and DMC and filled the ‘clogged basin’ and potholes and pits with sand and gravel within its jurisdiction. The Council and the localities with help of the municipalities have cleaned the drainage and unearth places where drainage lines are not connected for proper maintenance of drainage system. They also stated that through various help and donations the social work is still continuing.
Furthermore, “The PWD (R&B) department told that they would mend and fill the pot holes and pits on the road leading to Nagarjan” stated Head Guanbura Ward 20, Imna Longkumer.
