‘Nagas are uniquely blessed’

The only woman Reverend of NCRC, Beilieü Shüya felicitated

 Dimapur, October 28 (MExN): The Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) Women Elders Group initiated a programme to felicitate the only woman Reverend of the NCRC, Beilieü Shüya, on October 26 at Angami Christian Revival Church, Dimapur.  

Rev. Beilieü Shüya shared about her experiences in religion as well as politics. She said that Nagas are uniquely blessed by God and though we are a small nation we are standing up to the mighty nation of India. She spoke about the importance of wearing our own traditional costumes and speaking in our mother tongues. She encouraged the gathering from 2 Timothy 1:7.  

A press release stated that about 200 NCRC elders and believers attended the service. Nini Sekhose, President, Chakhroma Christian Revival Church Women’s Association and Associate Pastor, Garden Mission Church chaired the meeting. She informed that Rev. Beilieü Shüya joined the NCRC during the mid 1970s after receiving the “Holy Spirit baptism” from Chathe Prayer Centre, Dimapur.  

The welcome speech was given by Rev. Dr. N. Paphino, President NCRC and Pastor of Angami CRC Dimapur. He stated that by the grace of God, the NCRC has been able to grow and expand in the last few years to encompass not only India but eight other foreign countries thus making the NCRC an international organization.  

Special numbers were presented by Angami CRC, Ao CRC and Leshelemi of Sumi NCRC Purana Bazar, and the Presidents of the various NCRC Women organizations gave greetings. Krosano from Angami Women organization gave a detailed history of the formation of the NCRC Women Organisations and Nagaland and said that the Angami Christian Revival Women Association was 53 years old starting from 1963. Late. Khrieviü Sekhose was the founder President of the Association alongwith Neikienuo, Vice Chairman, Asa Secretary and Dzobvunuo (Treasurer). She spoke about the contribution of Rev. Beilieü towards evangelism efforts of the ACRWA.  

Asangla Jamir, spoke on behalf of the Mokokchung Division Women’s Association. Tokheli Assumi for Sumi NCRC Women Association, Jotano for Lotha Women, Azieü Sekhose for Nagamese CRC Women Association. Rev. Yagwelie Shüya spoke on behalf of family as well as Angami Council Advisory Board.
