MLA and NPF Legislature Party Leader Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today expressed deep concern over the state of Naga society, calling it “directionless” due to social and political fragmentation.

He stated this while addressing the closing ceremony of the 38th meet 2025 of Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) at Phek Town.

“Nagas are at a crossroads, unsure of where we are heading or what the future holds amid total chaos, social unrest, and political turmoil,” he said. According to Azo disunity, self-interest, and multiple factions have left both society and politics without clear leadership or direction.

He lamented the division among Nagas, with every individual and community working only for themselves. Politically, he pointed out that with 26 factions in the Naga political movement and numerous political parties at the state level, there is no unified leadership to guide the people forward.

“The only way to get back on track is to seek God. Only then will He help us in all our endeavors,” Azo emphasized, adding that Nagas have strayed from their faith, leading to the current state of confusion.

He stressed that Nagas must make decisive choices in all aspects of life, rather than being lost in a “paradox of choices.”

Highlighting the urgent need for Naga unity, Azo warned that Nagas have never been as divided as they are today. “We don’t know which faction is taking the right steps, nor do we have one undisputed leader to guide us,” he remarked.

Reiterating that seeking God is the only solution, he urged the people to realign their values and priorities, stating, “If we seek God once more, our paths will become clear.”
