Bangalore, July 9 (MExN): Hundreds of Nagas across Bengaluru city who were facing scarcity of essential commodities were provided assistance by organizations in collaboration with the Eastern Nagaland Students' Union Bengaluru (ENSUB).

In a press release on Friday, the ENSUB expressed gratitude to Better Life Foundation (BLF) Nagaland, under the leadership of Sethrichem Sangtam (Founder and Managing Director BL F), Azim Premji Foundation and Reaching Hand for collaborating with ENSUB and support extended towards the initiative.

The collaboration was necessitated as the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic hit Bengaluru, making it the worst affected in India, the ENSUB stated. The timely collaboration which lasted from first week of June to first week of July has helped ENSUB to reach out to hundreds of Nagas across Bengaluru city who were troubled with the scarcity of essential commodities, it added.

“The initiative of BLF in providing grocery kits to ENSUB, delivered through Reaching Hand, has enabled not only to distribute groceries to six tribes of Eastern Nagaland but other Nagas and even to some non Nagas as well,” the ENSUB stated.

292 beneficiaries from 121 apartments benefited from 203 grocery kits received on June 28, it added.

ENSUB expressed gratitude to the organizations for their act of kindness and generosity towards the Eastern Nagaland Community Bengaluru in particular and the Nagas in general and expressed hope for further collaborations. It further conveyed best wishes to the organizations for their future endeavors.
