Kohima | May 15 : A three day long prayer meeting billed as “A call for Nagas to pray for redemption” concluded here this evening at Naga Shisa Hoho Prayer Centre, Pruzie under the aegis of Naga Shisa Hoho Prayer Group.
The morning session witnessed a prayer for Naga national workers, NGOs and Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) members.
Speaking at the morning service today, Rev. Dr. Wati Aier, convenor, Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) in his message on the topic “Commitment” requested the church leaders from different prayer centres to come together once again and pray to God for reconciliation amongst the Naga people.
He appealed them to begin this special prayer from May 16 to 31 to reconcile and unite all Naga people.
On the other hand, he also requested the students, government servants as well as individual to pray for Naga reconciliation even a minute a day at their home/work places too.
Stating that the FNR’s journey of common hope entered 3 years, Rev. Dr. Aier also stated that the Forum is set to go for yet another stage in regard to reconciliation in the next few months.
He, however said, the FNR cannot do alone. “Are you willing to pray for us?,” he sought the support of the people and the gathering present raised their hands as a sign of agreeing to the call of prayer support towards Naga reconciliation.
Azheto Chophy, convenor, National Political Affairs Committee and Zhopra Vero, vice president NNC/FGN also spoke on the occasion. The morning session was chaired by Pastor Puduhu Khusoh while Rev. Dr. V.K. Nuh led communion.
The prayer meeting, which commenced from May 13, witnessed speakers like Rev. Dr. Anjo Keikung, general secretary NBCC, Rev. Dr. Thupu-o Nyekha, Presbyter AG Churches, Rev. Dr. N. Paphino, president NCRC and Rev. Dr. Tsiebu Rutsa, CEO & founder of LFCI.
