Nagas urged to stand up against ‘problems’

As seen in the image released to the media, during their Bharat Darshan, EAC (Probationers) of 2009 Batch also went to Pune and met social activist Anna Hazare at his village Ralegan Siddhi near Pune on 20th October, 2011. Though hundreds of people were waiting to meet Anna, he gave a private audience to the probationers and spent half an hour with them. That day, he was continuing with his “silent fast” but he interacted with the probationers through written messages.

Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): Social activist Anna Hazare has supposedly issued a message to the youths of Nagaland urging them not to be afraid of their “social problems” but face them as ‘challenges.’
“Your state is facing more social problems than ours; these social problems are our challenges. We should not be afraid of such things and we should focus on our aim,” Hazare’s ‘message’ stated, as informed by a group of Extra Additional Commissioners on-probation from Nagaland who paid the activist a visit on.
Referring to Nagaland, Hazare explained that “your state is facing more social problems than ours; these social problems are our challenges. We should not be afraid of such things and we should focus on our aim.”
Anna Hazare encourages EAC probationers
EAC (probationers) of the 2009 batch went to Pune and met Hazare at his village Ralegan Siddhi near Pune on October 20, Associate Professor of ATI, N. Moa Longkumer informed in a note today.
The social activist gave a private audience to the probationers and spent half an hour with them, the note said. “He also gave a written message for the people, especially youth, of Nagaland. The original message is written in Marathi but we are attaching the translation, Longkumer said.
According to the message, Hazare expressed great expectations from “our youth (you people)” and encouraged the EACs that “you can do a lot for your country and for the people around you, and I certainly believe that you can do it.”
Calling the young generation the backbone of the country, the activist asked the youth to “create a great future for our country.”
Advising against ‘running behind money,’ the activist said “money is just a small part of our life, and it’s just the medium to live life; people who sacrifice their life for country and society are the real heroes of life.”
