Peren, July 6 (MExN): The Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting was held on July 6 at New DC Office Complex, Peren under the chairmanship of DC & Vice Chairman DPDB Peren, S.Tainiu, stated a DIPR report.
During his address, Namri Nchang, Advisor for Irrigation and Flood Control and Chairman DPDB Peren appealed to the members to take note of the following: hunting and fishing should be banned and the villagers should be well informed about it; logging in the district should be checked by forest department; encroachment of government land in all towns in the district should be monitored by administrative officers; he also asked the members and officers to be in station so as to facilitate the public. The Adviser cautioned all the erring officers that he will not hesitate to take up action.
DPDB reviewed its last meeting: shifting of offices, water supply and electrification in all offices at the New DC Complex. CMO Peren gave a power point presentation regarding polio, rubella, measles and vaccination in the District. Press Secretary to CM, Pausui Zeliang also spoke in the meeting appealing to officers to be sincere and dedicate themselves to public services for the upliftment of the entire District. Other issues like improvement of road from Athibung to Khelma, Upgradation of GMS Ekesingram village to GHS was also discussed during the meeting.
