Kohima, September 26 (MExN): The Drug Disposal Committee under the Inspector General of Police (CID) PHQ, Kohima conducted the destruction of narcotics and psychotropic substances seized by Narcotics Cell, PS PHQ at Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) dumping site Meriema, Kohima on September 26.
As per the DIPR report, the total items seized during 2022- 2023 are Heroin - 500 soap cases (5 Kgs 729.68 gm), Opium - 44 Packets (41 kgs 030 gm 94 mg) and Yaba Tablet - 25 Packets (2, 49, 400 tablets) worth more than Rs 44.53 Cr.
The seized items were destroyed in the presence of the DIG (CID), Dr KPA Ilyas, IPS, SP (Narcotic), Shinde Suresh Kailashrao, IPS, SP (Crime), Dr Mhalo, NPS, Dy SP (Crime), Joy Zeliang, Officials from District Court, Kohima Municipal Council, Kripa Foundation and other officials.
