Morung Express News Kohima | March 7 Two persons had a narrow escape today after the vehicle they were travelling in was pinned to the ground by a truck which fell on the smaller vehicle. The accident occurred around 5:00 pm near the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home about 6km from Kohima town. As per the Traffic police, the truck loaded with scrap bottles was heading towards Dimapur when it reportedly lost control and tipped over on its side. It fell on an oncoming Mahindra Bolero trapping the occupants inside. In the Bolero was a Joint Director of the Information & Public Relations, Nagaland and his wife, the Traffic police said. The official, who was on the wheel, was trapped in the pinned Bolero for nearly an hour before heavy machinery could be requisitioned to remove the fallen truck. Both the victims were rushed to a hospital in Hospital, where their condition was stated to be “out of danger.” The occupants of the truck reportedly absconded from the scene.
