Kohima, December 16 (MExN): The 44th biennial general conference of the Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) got underway today at Rüsoma village.
Theja-o Vihienuo, Mission Director, RMSA was the speaker of the introductory service this afternoon. Vihienuo stressed on the need to put new ideas and thoughts to bring good result in the different fields. He also emphasized on the need to reason together and work in unison to ink a prosperous society. The function was chaired by Kikruso Kets.
Minister for Forest, Environment & Climate Change Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire will grace the inaugural function on December 17 at 9:30 am. Chairman, Rüsoma Village Council, president, Northern Angami Public Organization and president, Angami Students’ Union will share greetings. Presidential address will be delivered by NASU president Ruokuovizo Chiese. The function will be led by Selabeituo Theünuo. Academic session will take place at 3:00 pm with Dr. Kezhalezo Angami as speaker. It will be followed by debate and extempore speech competition. The conference will continue till December 18.
