NASU asks govt schools to comply with RTE Act

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 31 (MExN): The Niuland Area Students' Union (NASU) today informed that many government educational institutes such as Government High Schools, Government Middle Schools and Government Primary Schools are charging admission fees from students. Expressing concern, a press note from the NASU asked all government schools under Niuland division to strictly comply with the Right to Education (RTE) Act. “Failing to comply with the Act, the union will initiate strict necessary action against the defaulting schools,” it cautioned. “If at all any monetary transactions from the students has to be made, then it should be accompanied with proper receipt memo duly signed and authorized by competent authority,” the union added.
