DIMAPUR, AUGUST 18 (MExN): The National Ayush Mission (NAM) under the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare (DH&FW) in Nagaland conducted a series of free health camps for senior citizens across the state. Held from August 10 to 17, these camps were organized under the theme ‘Live Healthy, Age Healthy,’ and reached 12 districts through Ayush Health and Wellness Centres (AHWC).
The initiative provided free medical examinations, consultations, and medicines to elderly participants. In addition to medical care, the camps also focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle among senior citizens, offering guidance on basic fitness and exercise routines.
With the support of the Ministry of Ayush, the National Ayush Mission aims to enhance the quality of life for the elderly through regular health camps and other health awareness activities. The campaign was overseen by Dr. T Bendangtula, Deputy Director (Ayush), and Dr. Seyiekhrieto John, State Nodal Officer (NAM), along with Dr. Vibino S. Chasie, State Nodal Officer for the Geriatric Camp.
