
Mon, September 29 (MExN): Mon battalion under the aegis of headquarter IGAR (north) organized a national integration tour from September 4 - 18 with a team of 13 girls, 7 boys and two teachers from Mon district. The tour was flagged off from Mon on Sep 2 by the Commandant Mon battalion.
According to a press release, the tour was an educational cum motivation tour aimed at providing a firsthand exposure of the diverse blend as well as the various development activities going on in varied parts of the country.
The young students had the opportunity to interact with the President of India Ram Nath Kovind on September 13, who exhorted the students to work hard and to contribute towards the development of the state and the nation.
During the tour, the students visited Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri in Agra and India gate, Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Qutub Minar in Delhi and Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Ajmer Fort and Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur.
