National Level Vendor Development Prog in Mkg underway

Mokokchung: The three-day National Level Vendor Development Programme cum Exhibition (Buyers and Sellers Meet) at Mokokchung got underway here today with Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso as the chief guest.

The programme, a first of its kind in Mokokchung, is being organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India in association with the District Industries Centre, Mokokchung and the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI). The event is being held at the Multi Purpose Hall, Imkongmeren Sports Complex from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

About thirty micro, small and medium entrepreneurs and SHGs are showcasing their products and services at the expo. Meanwhile, a seminar for the vendors is being scheduled for Wednesday beginning 10:30 am at the same venue.

The programme is being organized with the objective of showcasing the competencies of MSMEs as well as to offer interfacing between the MSMEs potential corporate, private and public sectors. It also aims to create a platform for interaction among buyers and sellers, to provide opportunity for diversification and development of new products by entrepreneurs and enhancing opportunities for marketing and outsourcing. The event is being held from February 25 to 27.
