National level workshop on ‘Preparation of Revised AQAR’

TUENSANG, APRIL 10 (MExN): Sao Chang College, Tuensang in collaboration with IQAC Cluster organized a 4 Days national Level Online Workshop on ‘Preparation of revised AQAR’ from April 4 to 7. 

The resource persons of the workshop were nationally recognized experts of IQAC Cluster. The IQAC Cluster operates under the motto ‘Co-operation and not Competition’ and aims to impart training to colleges all over India. The objectives of the workshop were to learn the basics of revised AQAR, to know the growth of the institution post accreditation, to prepare AQAR in a systematic process and to resolve all doubts under each criterion and SoPs. 

The workshop started with welcome and keynote Address by Longtichang Tzudir, Principal-in-charge, Sao Chang College. It was followed by the first technical session on ‘Glimpse of IQAC Cluster and Institutionalization of College IQAC.’ It was presented by Prof Peeyush Pahade, President, IQAC Cluster. The second technical session was on ‘Criterion 1: Curricular Aspects.’ The resource person was Prof Parag Shah of Modern College, Ganeshkhind, Pune. 

Day 2 of the workshop was on Criterion – II: Teaching, Learning and Evaluation and Criterion – III: Research, Innovations and Extension. The resource persons were Dr Deepak Nanaware, of DAV Velankar College, Solapur and Dr Hemant Chandak of GSSASC College Khamgaon, Buldhana respectively. 

Day-3 involved Criterion – IV: Infrastructure and Learning Resources and Criterion – V: Student Support and Progression were discussed by Prof Bharat Kangude, Anantrao Pawar College, Pirangut, Pune and Dr Ayub Shaikh, of ICS College Khed, Ratnagiri respectively.

On Day 4, the last two criterias, Criterion – VI: Governance, Leadership and Management and Criterion – VII: Institutional Values and Best Practices were discussed by Prof Shrihari Pingle of Sangamner Nagarpalika College, Sangamner and Prof. Gauri Devasthale, Abeda Inamdar College, Pune.

Under the leadership of Tekameren Walling, Assistant Professor and workshop coordinator, the workshop on ‘Preparation of revised AQAR,’ which was first of its kind in the Northeast region, was conducted successfully. Altogether 230 participants from 16 states registered for the workshop. It witnessed active participation from more than 200 participants throughout the workshop followed by exchanges between the panel of experts and the participants during the question hour.   

The workshop concluded with a valedictory function in which the Guest Speaker, Dr S Sankar, Advisor, IQAC Cluster exhorted all the participants to work hard towards excellence and applauded Sao Chang College for successfully organising a national level seminar. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr LJ Neken Jamir, Associate Professor, Department of History and workshop secretary in which he thanked the IQAC Cluster for sharing their knowledge and expertise with colleges in the Northeast region. He also thanked the participants for their interest and engagement.
