National Painting Competition held in Dimapur

Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): The Nagaland Council for Child Welfare (NCCW), State Branch, ICCW Delhi conducted a National Painting Competition for schools at Naga United Village, Nihoto Village, Diphupar Village, Old Showba Village and Seithekima Village, Dimapur district.  

Dr P Ngully, General Secretary, NCCW in a press release stated that a total of 50 students for various schools participated in the competition which was held on November 10 at Highland Hall School in Naga United Village.  

The judges for the competition were V Phesao, Artist and Exhibition Officer, NEZCC and Akup Buchem, freelancer senior artist attached with NEZCC.  

From the age group of 10-16 years Olongmeren Jamir (Class-7), Government High School, United Naga Village won the 1st prize. The 2nd Prize was won by Kantsula (Class-7), Highland Hall School, United Naga Village and 3rd prize was bagged by Temennaro (Class-7), Great Commission Higher Secondary School.  

In the age group of 6-9 years, Tzutisen (Class 3), Great Commission Hr. Sec. School won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize was bagged by Ikali (Class 2), Great Commission Hr. Sec. School and Iloke, (Class-3), Highland Hall School respectively.  

All the award winning paintings will be forwarded to the ICCW Delhi for the National Level Competition. At the prize giving ceremony, T. Merentsungba Aier, Director, Social Welfare and President, NCCW congratulated all the students for participating in the competition.
