
Kohima, July 23 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP) on July 20 formed the Kohima Unit of the National Peoples’ Youth Front (NPYF), the youth wing of Party, under the leader ship of President Kelengoto Soleho.
According to a press release on Saturday, Moa Imchen, State Secretary NPYF encouraged the new members to work with sincerity, honesty, and dedication, and lead their followers in a humble and inclusive manner.
Jaser Meru, General Secretary (Organisation) shared in brief about the NPP history in Nagaland. He stated that NPP is ‘tribal centric’ and ‘youth centric’ party, and referred to party president and present Meghalaya Chief Minister as an example of what the Party stands for. Meru expressed confidence that Nagaland will come out with more winning candidates from the Party in the coming election.
As per the release, NPYF State Secretaries AKK Naga and Dr Kevi also addressed the newly inducted members, exhorting them to come together to build a better future and march forward with clear focus with dignity and honesty.
‘Now, the time has changed, people are more into development, education, better hospitals, better connectivity, and basic amenities of the citizens are what longing for and not the old false promises of jobs and freebies,’ Dr Kevi is said to have told the members.
The release stated that NPP is a unifying party of Northeast states, and the only party which can give weightage and push the centre, and be a game changer of the entire political scenario of the country.
The NPYF Kohima unit leaders include Kelengoto Soleho (President); Dr Ketoulelhou Vizo (Vice President); Er Keduopfezo (Spokesperson); Sedevilie (General Secretary); Er Kaqheto (General Secretary); along with seven Secretaries- Jacob Kets, Visakho Pucho, Tepekhoto Kiso, Francis Kath, Vikuto ltu, Pursenla Longchar and Apong P Konyak; and members Er Meshenlo Kath, Toshi Pongen, S Chuba Pongen, Videkhono, and Akum Meren.
